The inspirations for my creations are the “elements of life” and the idea of “us”; how we are all linked, dependent on each other as well as with technology.  My work captures the movement of life through its different ups and downs; its smooth & sharp paths.  My process combines layers of photography, scanned drawings, and computer editing, capturing all of my conscious, unconscious and subconscious thoughts and transforming them into my techspressionist artworks.

Malavika Mandal Andrew (b.1971) is an artist whose practice includes mixed-media, digital art and collage, tapestry and fiber art. She received her BFA (1993) & MFA (1995) from Visva Bharati University”(Shantiniketan), India.  Andrew is a recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant and a National Scholarship from the Government of India. The artist trained under the guidance of renowned artist and professor Shri. Riten Mozumdar.  Andrew has participated in numerous solo / group art shows both in India and internationally.
