Rogue Pano or Panorama Sabotage are photos where the artist manipulates the panorama algorithm of a cellphone to create abstract, expressionist, and gestural paintings using only a mobile device. Primarily from the careful manipulations of the algorithm, my standard “brush stroke” is what’s called “brushing the teeth” which is the main stroke used in submission #1 while the second submission is an infinity brushstroke where an analog ∞ movement creates a new abstracted vista.
After seventeen semesters in art-school [kicked out of some, quit some] Lee finally received a BFA. He spent a decade VJing (Tsuyoshi Suzuki, and GodSpeed You! Black Emperor) and making experimental documentaries about climate-change which led into a decade and a half making eco-capital sculptures using capital as the primary medium. Since 2012 Lee has returned to the picture-plane both with his TSIB The Space In Between multimedia series and his abstract-expressionist gestural cell-phone paintings.
