Wednesday, January 27, 2021: Artist Colin Goldberg interviews Anne Morgan Spalter, an American new media artist based in Brooklyn New York and Providence, Rhode Island. In this interview Spalter discusses AI art, NFT’s and current projects, as well as her artistic origins and background. Anne founded and taught the original digital fine arts courses at Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design in the 1990’s

She’s the author of The Computer in the Visual Arts, published by Addison-Wesley, and is co-curator of The Anne and Michael Spalter Digital Art Collection, one of the world’s largest private collections of early computer art. The collection has loaned work to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London among others. It is available as an online resource for curators and scholars at spalterdigital.com. Anne’s own artworks reside in the permanent collections of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY, the Rhode Island School of Design Museum in Providence, RI and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, among others.
