Do you know what your subconscious is telling you? This piece draws on the idea that there is an area within us that is a transfer zone of where the abstract concepts outside our typical awareness interpolate to the conscious mind. Here a decidedly surrealist image bank leads to an organic abstraction. The transmutation of messaging is often lost in translation leaving us uncertain as to its intent. Here it is all about the mysterious, the out of reach, the vaguely familiar yet unsettling. This area, where the vast deep sea meets the shore, is where I want to live.

My work has anything and everything to do with what we don’t know about the universe, our place in it, and what we are. To me, if you think what you see, what you hear, and can touch is the limits of our experience you’re not even out of bed yet.
