Multiple computer applications, A.I., custom lighting techniques, an iphone, and traditional painting techniques are used to produce work that asks us to ponder mix-ups, mash-ups, power-ups & possibilities beyond our present moment.
ScoJo (aka Joshua Scott) used to be a zombie. Not technically, but when a severe neuropathy (nerve damage) caused intense pain & havoc in his life, he started painting again. In order to bring levity into his chaotic world, ScoJo created a unique therapeutic art process that simultaneously alleviated leg pain as he walks around to create his mixed media pieces. Themes of hybridization, the pros & cons of technology, empowerment, and the augmentation of the organic are infused within his work.
