Art uses whatever means at its disposal to convey intent, emotion, and concept. Digital media is increasingly at hand.
Michael Rees was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He received a Bachelors of Fine Art from the Kansas City Art Institute in 1982 and a Masters of Fine Art from Yale University in 1989. Rees is a professor of Sculpture and Digital Media at William Paterson University and the Director for the Center For New Art there. He has shown work in public venues, including the Whitney Museum, the Museum of Art and Design in New York, Grounds For Sculpture, The Marta Museum and The Nerman Museum of Art, among others.
