As an abstract painter I use the computer as another means of expression. These prints are part of a series of paintings, works on paper, computer prints and my book inspired by Thomas Wolfe’s poem “The Blazing Certitude”. To create these prints, I first painted directly on the paper with watercolor, gouache and graphite. On the computer, I created paper textures which are used in the background. Then I combined scans of my book pages with digital painting to composite over my background.
Hunt has exhibited widely, including Spanierman Modern, Arlene Bujese Gallery, Time & Life Building, Guild Hall Museum, Parrish Art Museum, SIGGRAPH. Her work is included in many private and public collections, including General Electric Company, Republic National Bank, Morgan Guarantee Trust Company, PepsiCo, Guild Hall Museum, and the Parrish Art Museum.
