These three works represent the calamity, and coping mechanisms of life-long anxiety and depression suffering. There’s so much you don’t see: The sleepless nights, exhaustion, debilitating fear, loneliness, misunderstandings, the sometime-relief of solitude, the opportunities missed. It was art that saved this artist, that gave her a voice, a place to belong, a community. These pieces are meant to touch someone, maybe you, deep down inside…where you long to be touched by another healing soul.  Art reminds us to breathe.

Dana “Jonesy” Jones is a digital abstract expressionist, or Techpressionist, from St. Louis, MO., USA. Through the use of technology, Jonesy enjoys pushing the boundaries of her creativity, serving up a delicious vibe of connection with her audience’s emotional experiences. Being profoundly hearing-impaired, and an anxiety/depression warrior, she hopes to inspire a generation of a new age to create, while showcasing how expansive art can be in one’s life.
