This seamless video loop is the result of several live processes. Its VU meter-like loops, arranged in a grid, were made with improvised music and Action Painting in mind. The making process was a partnership between myself and a network of algorithmic chance procedures acting like members of a band, choosing notes on-the-fly from within the song’s framework, completing the work live.

Canadian artist Clive Holden is from Vancouver Island & lives in Toronto.
